Daily Dose of Drama

by: Kali Watts

This year’s Spring play will be The Man Who Came to Dinner. This play was written by Moss and Kaufman. It features a nationally renowned radio personality Sheridan Whiteside who finds himself with a broken hip and confined to the Midwestern house of the Stanley’s, but tensions run high as Whiteside goes from sickly house guest to maniacal fiend ruining the lives of the Stanley’s and his own secretary in this tale of bizarre and hilarious farce. The RHS theatre department held auditions for the play before Christmas break. This play will include a larger cast of 27 people. They will have their regular student matinee at the Farris Theater followed by the evening performances on Friday and Saturday and the afternoon performance on Sunday. Corey Robertson, theatre director, says, “I’m very very excited… This should be a very comedic play. I hope the audience enjoys it as much as I do.” The theater department is looking forward to seeing everyone there!
