November 17th marked the date of the first math competition for the RHS math team in the 2018-2019 school year. The math team travelled to Warrensburg High School for the math relays. The students participating were seniors Kaitlin Jaggars, Allie Renfro, and Hannah Truitt, juniors Hazel Hall and Zoe Spangler, and sophomores Kaydence Barker, Quinton Calvert, and Sara Harris. RHS was ranked as the third place school in the district! For many members, this was the first competition that they had competed in. The next competition the team participates in will likely be in second semester.
RESULTS:
Quinton Calvert – 5th place Graphing 11, 10th place Algebra 10
Sara Harris – 8th place Graphing 10
Sophomore Team – Kaydence Barker, Quinton Calvert, Sara Harris 5th place
Hazel Hall – 7th place Graphing 11
Zoe Spangler – 10th place Algebra 11
Junior Team – Hazel Hall, Zoe Spangler 5th place
Kaitlin Jaggars – 2nd place Functions , 4th place Algebra 12, 4th place Word Problems 12, 5th place Trigonometry, 3rd overall senior
Allie Renfro – 1st place Functions, 1st place Geometry 12, 1st place Algebra 12, 2nd Word Problems 12, 1st overall senior
Hannah Truitt – 1st place Complex Numbers, 1st place trigonometry, 1st place Word Problems 12, 3rd place Algebra 12, 2nd overall senior
