The recent art field trip was a great experience for the students who got to attend and experience first hand professional art. A total of 17 ribbons were awarded to Richmond students, who entered in both the adult and student categories. Four students placed first in the painting and sculpture division.
The students beat several local professionals that have been painting and sculpting for several years. After the art show the students headed to a local art studio where they got to look at art from professional artists and listened to explanations of ideas behind the art. After, they went to a local school studio set up for kids to learn art.
