Richmond FFA representatives traveled to Indianapolis for the annual National event.

October 24th through the 28th, Richmond High School FFA members went to Indianapolis to attend the 91st National FFA Convention.

Every year, FFA members nationwide gather in one place to celebrate their accomplishments and find creativeness for their next steps. Motivational speakers, concerts, and entertaining workshops with agricultural education and industry opportunities will have you wanting to join yourself!

The FFA is not just hard work, there are great opportunities for fun as well; this year the students got to attend the Garth Brooks concert while on their trip. The convention also had more entertainment such as a hypnotist show and a rodeo as well. According to the FFA Nationals website, there where over 68,000 FFA members and guests at the National FFA Convention this year, this is the most ever. It was a historic event because they got to see Garth Brooks and President Donald Trump spoke at the convention for about an hour. Mrs. Allen, FFA Adviser and Agriculture Teacher at RHS said, "Every sitting president is extended an invitation to the National FFA Convention, however, it has been since 1987 since a sitting president has accepted the invite”. This has been an eventful trip for the FFA members and the guests that participated.
