Kim Wilton, math teacher and NHS sponsor, is running the Mr. Valentine competition this year. She said this will be the 25 year that the competition has been held at RHS.
The competitors this year are: Brendan Gant, Tuff Harias, Patrick Jeffries, Shane Leakey, Spencer Morse, Jared Richards, Tyler Pyle, Colby Williams, and this year’s Cupid is Wyatt Marshall. The winner last year was Calvin Safford who participated in order to, “...have a fun time with my friends and for a good cause, help out the family that the money was being donated to.” His talent was a four man puppet show, Taylor Swift themed, with him dressed up as a girl dancing around.
Jared Richards also joined for the reason of having fun and hanging with the other guys. Jared said the key to winning is to, “make the audience laugh and to be funny.” He plans on performing a skit with Teran cards.
This year’s competition is February 10th, at three, at the Farris Theater.
