On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, National Honor Society inducted its new members. The new members were inducted, spoke the pledge, and received their flowers and membership cards. Monica Shane was the guest speaker. She spoke about how students could use NHS to take them further and how she used the core values to be successful. The current members spoke on the four core values of NHS; leadership, service, scholarship, and character. A candle was lit from the candle of knowledge for each of the values.
NHS is an active organization at RHS. They host the annual Mr. Valentine pageant as well as help around the community. It is sponsored by Ms. Wilton. The officers are Kali Watts (President), Gracie Marshall (Vice President), and Kayla George (Secretary). Other office positions will be selected at a later date. Congratulations to all new members!
